And the price of this home, in Makena, marks the second most expensive property on the island.
Considered one of the best available beachfront properties in the state, the home was custom-built and sits 16 feet above the beach.

The current owners shelled out $7 million for a plot of land back in 2006 and custom-built the home from scratch; this will be the first time the property has hit the market since.

The median price of a single-family home topped $1 million in most areas of Hawaii during the coronavirus pandemic and has declined only modestly since.
Prices on prime real estate have soared in the last decade overall.
