A real fun guy is behind this blooming beauty.

Homes like the Charlevoix Mushroom House only sprout up once in a blue moon, but the property is currently listed for $4.5 million.

Built in 1920, the dwelling — also known as the Thatch House for its thatched roof — was the first home of artist and known hobbit-home architect Earl Young. “Over the course of his fifty-year career, Young would build twenty-six residential houses and four commercial properties” throughout northern Michigan, details a tourism website for Charlevoix, noting that Young didn’t use blueprints and “mostly” used found materials from the local area.

The foundation underneath the Thatch House, for instance, is made of stones retrieved from Lake Michigan. Although original details remain, the current owner recently undertook a “passion project renovation on the property, replacing its thatch roof and giving the house a new layout.

“He’s hoping whoever purchases it enjoys the place, he’s put a lot of time and effort into it,” Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices listing agent Nate Granata told The Post. “There’s not a Home Depot door to the house; everything is custom. Even the door to the HVAC room. It’s truly a piece of art.”

The mushroom house’s new design was “conceived on a napkin by the new owner” and took close to two years to finish, adds the listing. The renovation involved specialized timber work and the new roof is “crafted from the finest natural thatch hand-reaped in Europe and shipped to the USA. During one of the coldest winters, a master thatcher painstakingly worked under daunting conditions, so that symbolically the new creation was ready to greet the new spring with new life.”

There’s central air, a living room fireplace and plenty of landscaped outdoor nooks. Also on the property is a guest house with a full bathroom and a lofted bedroom.

So funky is the adorable address, it earned a post on real estate Instagram account Zillow Gone Wild, where commenters called it “fairytale”-worthy. Others, meanwhile, enjoyed its Hobbit-like design.

“When Frodo wins the mega millions,” joked one commenter.
