GOSSIP & RUMORS: Queen Camilla reveals what’s been cheering up King Charles since cancer diagnosis
Queen Camilla has given an update on her husband King Charles’ health following news of his cancer diagnosis.
Camilla, 76, attended a royal event at the Salisbury Cathedral in England on Thursday, which marked her official return to royal engagements since news of the monarch’s ailing health came to light.
When asked how her husband is getting on with his treatment, Camilla provided an update and revealed what’s making him smile during this time.
“He is doing extremely well under the circumstances. He is very touched by all of the letters and messages the public have been sending from everywhere. That’s very cheering,” according to royal reporter Rebecca English.
Charles, for his part, remains at Sandringham, his royal residence in Norfolk, England, where he began outpatient cancer treatment this week.
Ahead of Thursday’s event, Camilla was last seen leaving Clarence House with Charles on Tuesday, soon after the King’s quick catch-up with estranged son Prince Harry.
It’s believed that Harry did not see his estranged brother Prince William during his quick stint in England, not his sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who is currently recovering from her recent abdominal surgery.
Inside at the podium, William added, “I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you also for the kind messages of support for Catherine and my father, especially in recent days. It means a great deal to us all.”
“The past few weeks have a rather medical focus, so I thought I’d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all,” he quipped.
