Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren said that Target is about to see its business suffer in the same way that Bud Light did after the retailer recently began marketing LGBTQ-themed swimwear as part of its “PRIDE” collection.
“I think that Target really soon is about to find out what happens when conservatives shop or rather don’t shop, because they are about to get Bud Light-ed,” Lahren told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday.
Bud Light has seen its sales drop for some six consecutive weeks since boycott calls erupted in response to its controversial marketing campaign with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Target has now similarly come under fire after social media posts accused it of marketing pro-LGBTQ apparel to children.
Several social media videos incorrectly alleged that “tuck-friendly” swimwear was being sold to children, but the company clarified that the bathing suits were for adults.
Target on Tuesday said that it would pull some LGBTQ-friendly kids clothing from stores in the face of customer backlash.

The Minneapolis-based chain said one of the main factors for the nationwide “adjustment” ahead of Pride month was because some customers had violent confrontations with workers.
“Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and well-being while at work,” a Target spokesperson said.
“Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior.”
Lahren told Fox News that her local Target in Nashville had moved its “PRIDE” collection to the back of the store.
“Last week, the Pride stuff, all up in the front,” she said.
“All of this paraphernalia. Today I went there, it’s way in the back behind the swimsuits, behind the workout wear,” she said.

Lahren added: “They have moved it because they well know, because we set the precedent with Bud Light, that consumers are conservative, especially in places like the south, and we buy things and we have the power not to buy things.”
“So, Target beware.”
“I know that you allow a small minority of the population to run roughshod, but not here in Tennessee, and hopefully not in a city or state near you guys,” she said.
